"The matrices for this typeface are to be found in the Plantin Moretus Museum (MA 40) and comprise a total of 57 characters, 26 basic, four punctuation and 27 with dagesh points or ligatures. All the matrices have small indents at base, usually on all four sides and the reverse side of each character has a notch for the mould spring and a more recent circular indent positioned above."
